26.5 Things I’ve learned in 26 years of Life
Dear Stewards of Life,
A few days before my 26th birthday I wrote a list of ‘things’ I had learned in year 25 of living. Normally, I would keep these kinds of notes and personal writings to myself to hoard, read, and reflect aloud to myself at another date.
However, this year feels different. This year I’m being called to step out the desire to be hidden or recluse into the comfort of my inner shell. This year I’m being called to share my Heart, truth and my Self in way I’ve never done before.
I can easily say this year of Life has obliterated me, in all the right ways of course, but not without the uncomfortably that is served with the side dish of transformation.
It has been difficult, muddy and at moments unbearable.
This year space was created, made and given.
Space was made for me truly mourn and grieve.
This year has been rich with wisdom, fruits of timeless nourishment, and deep remembrance.
I’m completely and utterly humbled by Life, nature, 25 year old me, & YOU… thank for being here in any capacity that you are.
I’m continuing to learn the power of vulnerability as I celebrate another year on Earth.
Without further or do, here are 26.5 things I’ve learned in 26 years of Living:
Life will consistently reveal to me where I am not free.
Life will continue to ask me to empty, fill, birth and rebirth in order for a deeper Becoming.
The subtle is the greatest muse.
Your inner child holds all your deepest Creation energy, seeing her will transform you.
Security in an illusion.
Go deep with simple.
Your capacity for Rest reflects your capacity for your energy to Build.
Your business is nature.
Structure and devotion are the backbone to rapture.
Everyone’s story is sacred.
The greatest harvest of my life is the return to simplicity.
God is a spiraling mass of consciousness and I am a child of this.
Being a Devotee of Life is my job.
There is nothing outside of myself or anything I could (be)come that would make me more worthy of Love.
Seek and you shall be weathered. Trust and you shall be humbled with the intoxication of your own Divinity.
True union comes from within.
Grace and trust are ancient technologies.
Anger is medicine.
Question everything you’ve ever learned.
Energy work is vibrational nourishment.
Working ‘hard’ is subjective and won’t anyways give you the results you want.
In partnership you will experience many versions of the same human. The more you can love their refinement in the Now, the more you will love & accept your own.
Creativity is a spiritual practice, just as much as list-making.
I’m an Artist of Life.
The more comfortable you are in accepting that you aren't meant for everyone, the more embodied you will become.
Wisdom is experience, digested.
